ReCARDO: Using Real-World Data to Derive Common Data Elements for Alzheimer’s Disease and AD-Related Dementias Research Through Ontological Innovation

Steps that will be iterated include:
  1. Develop a federated data ecosystem infrastructure for AD-CDE-incorporated NIA-funded studies through CDE extraction (CDE-Data) leveraging advanced data science solutions and AI/ML/NLP techniques.
  2. Operationalize CDE-Data for developing longitudinal study data sets from RWD and produce a comprehensive inventory of data sources for aging populations.
  3. Develop objective evaluative frameworks to assess the readiness and fitness-for-purpose of RWD for clinical evidence generation.
  4. Evaluate study feasibility, availability of data, readiness of the data, and reproducibility of CDE-incorporated studies within and beyond the RRN through a national pilot study program, leveraging innovation capacities offered by CDE-Engine and CDE-Data.
